What do you know? Another Target CD.

This is a really cool one because I found it at the used music store for CHEAP! (of course). This is The Cars' second album Candy-O. I've always liked The Cars. One of their songs (I won't say which one!) is an all-time sentimental favorite of mine. Fine, I'll tell you which one. It's the song Drive. I don't know why, but this is one song I like immensely since I first heard it. The weird thing is that I actually heard it when it came out just when I was in my Van Halen-Triumph-Scorpions-Judas Priest funk just right before I got into Rush and Maiden. Drive. Go figure. Having said that, other than the 2-CD Anthology, up until now I never had any of their albums since the aforementioned anthology had basically all the songs I know and more, plus they get played plenty on the radio. One thing that I've always maintained is that Elliot Easton is the perfect guitar player. Listen to any song by The Cars. Any song (well, except Drive, lol), and Elliot Easton's guitar playing is just perfect. There is nothing wrong with his playing, his sound, the way it's recorded and how it relates to the song. I think Elliot would make an awesome collaborator to Paul McCartney. You know what would be an awesome McCartney band? One that includes Elliot on lead guitar and me on guitar/bass/backing vocals! Yeah right (the "me" part).

Anyway, I found this really cool looking disc in the used bins. It's the second target cd I've found in a store. This one was made in West Germany, and of course is the most common variation of the disc. In my opinion, it's the best looking one of the handful I have:

What do you think? :) Pretty cool, huh?
